European Semiconductor Manufacturing Company GmbH (ESMC) Dresden is seeking an Advanced Equipment Technician to maintain complex semiconductor equipment, mentor junior staff, and contribute to process stability. The role involves leading maintenance activities, improving SOPs, and collaborating with a global team in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has industrial/mechanical training, 3+ years of manufacturing experience, and at least English B1 proficiency.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in an industrial/mechanical field (IHK certified).
• At least 3 years of professional experience in manufacturing.
• Practical English skills (Level B1) for reading technical docs and interviewing in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced preventative maintenance and troubleshoot high-level equipment with minimal engineering guidance.
• Lead junior technicians in daily PM and troubleshooting; ensure checklists are completed and coach newcomers.
• Identify subtle equipment deviations, report abnormalities, and help drive process stability.

Advanced Equipment Technician (m/f/d)

We are building a team and are looking for skilled Advanced Equipment Technicians (m/f/d) to become the backbone of our manufacturing process. In this dynamic role, you will go beyond basic maintenance. You will tackle complex equipment challenges, ensure top-tier quality, and step up as a leader and mentor to our junior technicians. You are a natural problem‑solver who loves mastering complex tools and is passionate about mentoring others and driving continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute advanced preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshoot complex, high-level equipment issues with minimal engineering guidance
• Act as a mentor! Lead junior technicians in daily PM and troubleshooting activities, ensure checklists are flawlessly completed, and coach newcomers to success
• Have an eagle eye for detail? You will identify subtle equipment deviations (e.g., rough movements, worn components), report abnormalities, and help drive process stability
• Contribute directly to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and demonstrate basic tool troubleshooting for the wider team
• Take ownership of the parts lifecycle - managing scrapped parts and ensuring our inventory is always sufficient and ready to go
• Identify safety risks, create basic safety SOPs, and provide essential safety training to keep your team secure

Your profile

• Successfully completed vocational training in an industrial or mechanical field (IHK certified: Industriemechaniker, Mechatroniker or Elektriker)
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
• Practical English skills (Level B1). You must be able to read technical documentation, complete your interview in English
• You are highly reliable, structured, and safety-oriented
• A team-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow with us
• Ability and willingness to work an 8-hour shift model, which includes nights, weekends, and sometimes public holidays
• Willing to travel to Taiwan for a 6 - 9 month comprehensive training program
• Semiconductor industry experience is nice to have
