Job summary

ESMC GmbH in Dresden (Germany) is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Systems (m/f/d). The role focuses on operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of facility systems to ensure high availability and compliance. Training in Taiwan will be provided for selected candidates.

Responsibilities include coordinating service providers, monitoring performance, and supporting continuous improvement of maintenance processes. A 3-month overseas training may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Facility Engineering, Building Services Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of preventive, condition-based and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliable and efficient operation of facility systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with external service providers and monitor service delivery and documentation.
  • Monitor equipment and system performance, analyse operational data and KPIs, support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis with engineers and teams.
  • Contribute to improvement of maintenance processes, workflows, spare parts management and work instructions, and support facility systems documentation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, equipment histories and technical records, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Participate in technical projects and continuous improvement, integrating maintenance requirements into new or modified facility systems.

The Maintenance Engineer supports the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of facility systems to ensure high system availability, reliability and compliance with applicable standards.The role supports preventive and condition-based maintenance activities, equipment performance monitoring, technical documentation and the coordination of maintenance service providers. The Maintenance Engineer analyzes operational data, supports troubleshooting activities and contributes to the improvement and standardization of maintenance processes.

Job Responsibilities

1. Support Maintenance Strategies and Activities
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of preventive, condition-based and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliable and efficient operation of facility systems.
2. Support Service Provider and Contractor Management
Support the preparation of technical requirements for maintenance services, coordinate maintenance activities with external service providers and monitor the execution and documentation of agreed services.
3. Monitor Equipment Reliability and Performance
Monitor equipment and system performance, analyze operational data and KPIs, identify deviations and support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis together with experienced engineers and maintenance teams.
4. Improve and Standardize Maintenance Operations
Contribute to the improvement of maintenance processes, workflows, spare parts management and work instructions. Support the effective use of facility and maintenance management systems.
5. Ensure Documentation and Compliance
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, equipment histories and technical records. Support compliance with applicable safety requirements, internal standards, legal regulations and audit requirements.
6. Support Technical Projects and Continuous Improvement
Participate in technical projects, equipment modifications and continuous improvement activities and support the integration of maintenance and reliability requirements into new or modified facility systems.

Your profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Facility Engineering, Building Services Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
  • 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in facilities engineering, maintenance, plant operation or a comparable technical environment.
  • Initial experience in industrial facilities, manufacturing, utilities or maintenance is an advantage.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong interest in technical systems, maintenance and facility operations
  • Structured and reliable working style with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in complex facility systems
  • Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and international teams
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize assigned tasks
  • Proactive and team-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to undergo a 3-month training at an overseas fab
