European Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (ESMC) GmbH in Dresden is seeking an Advanced Equipment Technician (m/f/d) to join our growing team. You will tackle complex maintenance, mentor junior technicians, and help drive process stability in a state-of-the-art fab.

The role requires an IHK-certified vocational background in industrial/mechanical fields, 3+ years manufacturing experience, English at B1, willingness to night shifts and travel to Taiwan for training.

Qualifikationen

• IHK-certified vocational training in an industrial/mechanical field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Practical English skills (Level B1). Interview in English.
• Reliability, structure, and safety orientation.
• Team-oriented with willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift model, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to travel to Taiwan for 6–9 months of training.
• Semiconductor industry experience is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Execute advanced preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshoot complex equipment issues with minimal engineering guidance.
• Mentor junior technicians during daily PM and troubleshooting activities and coach newcomers.
• Identify subtle equipment deviations and report abnormalities to drive process stability.
• Contribute to SOPs and basic tool troubleshooting for the team.
• Own parts lifecycle and manage scrapped parts and inventory readiness.
• Identify safety risks, create basic safety SOPs, and provide essential safety training.

Advanced Equipment Technician (m/f/d)
We are building a team and are looking for skilled Advanced Equipment Technicians (m/f/d) to become the backbone of our manufacturing process. In this dynamic role, you will go beyond basic maintenance. You will tackle complex equipment challenges, ensure top-tier quality, and step up as a leader and mentor to our junior technicians. You are a natural problem-solver who loves mastering complex tools and is passionate about mentoring others and driving continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute advanced preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshoot complex, high-level equipment issues with minimal engineering guidance
• Act as a mentor! Lead junior technicians in daily PM and troubleshooting activities, ensure checklists are flawlessly completed, and coach newcomers to success
• Have an eagle eye for detail? You will identify subtle equipment deviations (e.g., rough movements, worn components), report abnormalities, and help drive process stability
• Contribute directly to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and demonstrate basic tool troubleshooting for the wider team
• Take ownership of the parts lifecycle - managing scrapped parts and ensuring our inventory is always sufficient and ready to go
• Identify safety risks, create basic safety SOPs, and provide essential safety training to keep your team secure

Your profile

• Successfully completed vocational training in an industrial or mechanical field (IHK certified: Industriemechaniker, Mechatroniker or Elektriker)
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
• Practical English skills (Level B1). You must be able to read technical documentation, complete your interview in English
• You are highly reliable, structured, and safety-oriented
• A team-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow with us
• Ability and willingness to work an 8-hour shift model, which includes nights, weekends, and sometimes public holidays
• Willing to travel to Taiwan for a 6 - 9 month comprehensive training program
• Semiconductor industry experience is nice to have
