Zusammenfassung

ESMC GmbH in Dresden seeks a System Engineer Cleanroom (m/f/d) to own and operate critical cleanroom systems in a greenfield European fab project.

You will ensure reliability, safety, and compliance, coordinate maintenance and transitions from construction to high-volume manufacturing, and work with international teams across engineers and service providers.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Facility/Environmental/Process Engineering or related technical field.
  • Several years of professional experience in cleanroom environments or highly controlled facilities.
  • Experience operating, commissioning, or optimizing complex technical systems.
  • Structured, analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technicians and cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent German and English at C1 level.
  • Willingness to undergo international training assignments (up to 3 months in Taiwan).

For our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and committed: System Engineer Cleanroom (m/f/d)

As a System Engineer Cleanroom (m/f/d), you will play a key role in bringing critical cleanroom systems into operation and ensuring their long‑term performance, reliability, and compliance. This position offers the unique opportunity to combine technical ownership with the excitement of a greenfield project in an international high‑tech environment.


Job Responsibilities


  • System Ownership: Take full ownership of cleanroom‑related systems and ensure their reliable, safe, and compliant operation

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize system performance to maintain strict cleanroom conditions and maximize system availability

  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Lead troubleshooting activities and drive sustainable, long‑term technical solutions through structured root cause analysis

  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate maintenance activities and collaborate closely with internal technicians as well as external service providers

  • Operational Transition: Support the transition of the fab from the construction phase into stable, high‑volume manufacturing operations

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, energy efficiency, and operational performance


Your profile

Must Have



  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facility Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Experience: Several years of professional experience working with cleanroom environments or comparable highly controlled technical facilities

  • Technical Expertise: Practical experience in the operation, commissioning, or optimization of complex technical systems

  • Analytical Skills: A highly structured and analytical approach to troubleshooting and complex problem‑solving

  • Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, external service providers, and cross‑functional teams

  • Languages: Fluent German and English language skills (minimum C1 level in both languages)

  • Mobility: Willingness to participate in international training assignments during the onboarding phase (up to 3 months in Taiwan)


Nice to Have



  • Prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related high‑tech industries

  • Deep knowledge of cleanroom technologies, including Airborne Molecular Contamination (AMC) and Air Pollution Control (APC) systems

  • Experience with industry‑standard reliability and problem‑solving methodologies such as RCA, FMEA, or 8D

  • Previous experience in a system ownership, area ownership, or operational responsibility role
