Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced engineering leader to head the SDK portfolio and Relay Proxy initiatives in Germany. You will coach senior engineers, own portfolio prioritization, and balance feature work with security and customer escalations, collaborating with Product Management to shape the roadmap.

You will guide multi-language tradeoffs, ensure high-performance SDKs, and represent engineering in customer-facing interactions while driving release quality, observability, and incident

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in engineering management, incl. senior engineers.
• Led teams building developer-facing software: SDKs/APIs/open-source.
• Familiar with several programming languages/ecosystems.
• Guides technical tradeoffs in polyglot codebases.
• Prioritizes across stakeholders and partners with PM.
• Translates business goals into engineering plans with estimates.
• Coaches senior engineers; performance and growth planning.
• Communicates well with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiar with observability and production incident response.
• Experience with open-source contributions is a plus.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a formal engineering management role, including managing senior engineers
• Experience leading teams that build developer-facing software: SDKs, client libraries, public APIs, or open-source projects used by external developers
• Working familiarity with several programming languages and ecosystems
• Judgment to guide technical tradeoffs in a polyglot codebase
• Proven ability to prioritize across many stakeholders and partner with Product Management
• Ability to translate business goals into engineering plans with reliable estimates
• Track record of coaching and developing senior engineers, including performance management, career growth planning, and technical mentorship
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers
• Familiarity with observability practices and comfort with production incident response
• Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source software is a plus
