Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor seeks a senior engineer to lead one of The Key’s product squads building its compliance suite. You will ship tested code, own architecture, and set quality standards through hands-on work and code reviews.

You’ll mentor 2–3 engineers, participate in discovery, and coordinate with staff engineers and other squads to deliver robust, scalable services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Senior engineer who still ships, with strong recent experience of modern web stacks.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, Node and Python.
• Daily, enthusiastic use of agentic coding tools (Claude Code or similar).
• Track record of raising others’ AI-assisted practice.
• Proven leadership of a team (tech lead, lead engineer, or manager of a small team), including architectural ownership and mentoring.
• Comfortable in discovery, trading scope with product peers, and offering alternatives rather than blockers.
• Line management experience, or clear readiness for it with support.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Run one of The Key’s product squads building its compliance suite
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and code regularly alongside the squad
• Set the quality bar through personal work and code review
• Own the architecture of the squad’s apps and services, including long-term codebase health and safe operability after launch
• Act as the squad’s Tech Lead in weekly product discovery
• Provide feasibility sign-off on product briefs before work enters the sprint board
• Ship tested working code to main every sprint and launch on the termly cadence
• Join customer conversations to stay in direct contact with the problem
• Line-manage a squad of 2-3 engineers through regular 1-2-1s, development plans, and performance conversations
• Build an engaged, sustainable squad culture as part of the engineering leadership group
• Work agentic-first and drive adoption across the squad
• Contribute to shared agentic practice across the engineering organisation
• Coordinate with other squad leads, the Staff Engineer, and Platform and Core squads on shared services and dependencies
• Consume shared AI services and flag cross-squad constraints early

Requirements

Demonstrates strong technical leadership in building compliance suites, with hands‑on experience in modern web stacks including TypeScript, React, Node, and Python. Proven ability to mentor and manage a small engineering team while ensuring high‑quality code and effective collaboration across squads.
