Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to manage 1–2 teams and own IAM product features and architectural roadmaps. You will drive secure, scalable identity solutions, negotiate complex dependencies, and provide technical coaching across a cloud‑native stack.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in software engineering, 8+ years as a staff-level IC, and 4+ years in engineering management, with fluency in English and readiness for on‑call duties.

Qualifikationen

• 12+ years of software engineering experience
• 8+ years as an Individual Contributor, scaling to Staff Engineer or Tech Lead
• 4+ years in direct Engineering Management
• Domain expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM), authentication protocols, and related platform architecture
• Sound technical judgment in ambiguous, high-stakes environments
• University Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)

Aufgaben

• Manage 1–2 teams with ownership of product features, frameworks, staffing, budgets, and timely delivery
• Safely deliver modern identity features through secure-by-default practices, strict testing, and progressive rollouts
• Plan systems and negotiate complex downstream dependencies involving networks, databases, and devices
• Steer architectural roadmaps toward scalable, cloud-native frameworks
• Drive scalability initiatives for queue spikes, databases at scale, and data-residency requirements
• Evolve LDAP/RADIUS directory protocols into scalable, self-healing cloud architectures
• Provide technical coaching, career growth support, and psychological safety
• Resolve priority conflicts and remove blockers
• Establish rigorous release protocols and operational oversight
• Build stakeholder relationships and execute tactical change management
• Direct authentication services using operational metrics and transparent cross-functional communication
• Integrate automated AI workflows for routine tasks
• Champion Spec-Driven Development using Cursor/Copilot while maintaining test coverage and code quality
• Articulate team contributions within wider departmental goals
• Ensure 24/7 health of services

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience
