Infineon Technologies AG in Germany is seeking a Senior Engineer Wafer Processing to join our Research and Development team. You will shape process development and characterization for wafer and chip manufacturing, applying analytical methods to improve bipolar semiconductor devices.

Collaborate with manufacturing teams, plan and conduct DoE experiments, optimize chemical processes, and transfer developed processes to production.

Qualifikationen

• A university degree in a scientific or engineering discipline such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.
• Ideally, initial professional experience in semiconductor manufacturing (frontend) and laboratory environments.
• Knowledge of the safe handling of chemicals.
• Basic knowledge of semiconductor devices as well as the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Analytical mindset and excellent German and English language skills.

Aufgaben

• Develop and characterize wafer manufacturing processes with a focus on chemical processes for bipolar semiconductor devices
• Plan and conduct necessary preliminary experiments on individual process parameters using statistical methods such as Design of Experiments (DoE)
• Perform chemical experiments in a laboratory environment
• Support the specification of manufacturing equipment, participate in supplier discussions, and contribute to the qualification of equipment for manufacturing processes
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams and transfer developed processes to production together with the process team
• Implement measures to increase yield and throughput within the scope of projects
