Zusammenfassung

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Staff Engineer for Product Development HV Power Switches within the Research & Development team in Munich. You will drive innovations, design and evaluate device-level parameters, and ensure testability and characterization of new power switch products.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or Microelectronics and 3–5 years in semiconductors, with strong problem-solving skills and knowledge in MOSFET physics.

Qualifikationen

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or similar.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant semiconductor experience, ideally as Product Developer/Engineer.
• Good understanding of device physics of Si MOSFETs; SiC experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of statistics and electrical data analysis.
• Talent for solving technical problems including failure analysis and root cause analysis.

Aufgaben

• Actively contribute to the product innovation process with concepts, demonstrators, and technical evaluations.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing and Application Engineering to shape leading-edge products for business success.
• Be responsible for the design and calculation of chip dimensions and parameters at packaged component level.
• Ensure testability of new products and define electrical characterization of prototypes, including evaluation of measurement results.
• Support qualification, failure analysis, and troubleshooting by interpreting electrical and physical analysis results (e.g., SEM, X-ray, EMMI).
• Apply semiconductor physics knowledge to solve product issues and identify improvements for future product or wafer technology releases.
