Infineon Technologies in Regensburg is seeking a Senior Technical Project Lead Materials Innovation to merge creativity with your technical expertise and shape the future of semiconductor materials. You will lead cross-functional and international projects, develop new materials and interfaces, and define material requirements for performance and cost.

The role requires a Master’s degree and fluent German and English, with strong analytical skills, initiative, and a passion for innovation.

Qualifikationen

• A completed technical degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Microsystems Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field
• Experience in statistical experimental design as well as in the analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of experimental results
• Solid knowledge of assembly processes as well as the equipment used and its impact parameters on process and product quality
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills for addressing complex technical challenges
• A high level of initiative, accountability, and results orientation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration within interdisciplinary and international teams
• Fluent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken

Aufgaben

• Lead innovation and development projects in collaboration with multiple departments and international sites
• Develop new materials and material systems considering chemical and physical interactions in bulk materials and at interfaces
• Conduct patent searches and evaluate the patent landscape while generating Intellectual Property (IP) in the field of semiconductor devices (materials, processes, design, and equipment)
• Define material and process requirements based on product needs with respect to functionality, reliability, and cost
• Perform risk analyses and assessments based on profound materials science expertise
• Independently design, plan, and execute experiments to optimize materials, processes, designs, and their interactions
• Analyze, interpret, and evaluate experimental, modeling, and simulation results and derive design rules as well as further development activities

Key responsibilities in your new role
