Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Munich is seeking a Senior Engineer for Functional Verification in our Research & Development team. This role involves hands-on verification of IPs and SoCs, developing verification environments, and collaborating across IP design, verification and software teams to refine requirements and verification plans.

You will develop SystemVerilog UVM-based components, execute feature-based verification plans, and debug tests to achieve robust coverage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
• Professional experience in the verification of wireless or high-speed communication interfaces.
• Experience with verification methodologies and languages (SystemVerilog, UVM/OVM).

• Hands-on IP and SoC verification, building environments from scratch or using existing flows.
• Collaborate with IP design, verification, and software teams to define and refine requirements and verification plans.
• Develop SystemVerilog UVM-based components and environments; execute feature-based verification plans.
• Debug failing tests, identify root causes, evaluate regressions and enhance test cases to improve coverage.
• Apply AI techniques to improve development methodologies and efficiency.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role Contribute

• hands-on to IP and SoC verification , either building environments from scratch or using legacy verification environments and flows.
• Collaborate with IP design, verification, and software teams to define and refine requirements and prepare and review verification plans.
• Set up, deploy, migrate, maintain, and maximize the reuse of verification environments.
• Develop SystemVerilog UVM-based components and environments and execute feature-based verification plans based on architecture specifications.
• Debug failing tests, identify root causes, evaluate regressions and functional coverage , and enhance test cases to achieve 100% coverage.
• Improve development methodologies by applying artificial intelligence (AI), increasing efficiency, and fostering innovation.

Qualifications and skills

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field of study.
• First years of professional experience in the verification of wireless or high-speed communication interfaces.
• Strong expertise in developing verification environments.
• A proven ability to analyze and solve complex technical challenges.
• Hands-on experience with verification methodologies and technologies such as SystemVerilog, OVM, and UVM.
• Fluent English communication skills; good German skills would be an advantage.
