• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field of study.
• Hands-on experience in functional safety and cybersecurity for automotive products.
• Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434 compliance at software level.

Aufgaben

• Own embedded software verification across the lifecycle: requirements analysis, verification planning, test design, execution, reporting, and defect analysis.
• Establish and maintain efficient, reusable test frameworks for pre-silicon and post-silicon environments across all levels, including unit, integration, software testing, and validation.
• Institutionalize and continuously improve verification methods, tools, and infrastructure, with a focus on automation, efficiency, testability, and overall software quality.
• Verify security-relevant software, including secure communication, cryptographic services, key handling, protected storage, and robustness against manipulated inputs.
• Support integration, debugging, and issue analysis on target hardware and in simulation environments.
• Contribute across the embedded software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software architecture, design, implementation, and verification, with a generalist engineering approach.
• Ensure development processes and evidence are aligned with Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO/SAE 21434

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• As a Staff Engineer Embedded Software Verification with hands‑on experience in Functional Safety and Cybersecurity for automotive products you will join our growing team in Langen and work on ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 compliance at software level, combined with active contribution to embedded software development and verification. Lastly, you will develop low‑level driver software for microcontroller‑based automotive products shipped to customers worldwide.
• A degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering , or a similar field of study
• 3–5 years of professional experience in embedded software verification , with a solid understanding of the V‑model
• Strong hands‑on experience in test design techniques, e.g., equivalence partitioning , boundary value analysis , requirements‑based testing , and structural coverage analysis
• Proficiency in embedded C and experience with compilers, debuggers, coverage tools, static analysis, and simulation environments
• Good knowledge of ARM / RISC‑V , multi‑core embedded systems, and low‑level hardware debugging
• Practical knowledge of embedded communication protocols, secure communication, cryptography, key management, and hardware security concepts
• Strong analytical mindset and self‑organization ; experience applying AI in engineering workflows is a plus
• Fluent communication skills in English
