Job summary

EPAM Systems in Germany is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager for a hybrid role focused on AI-native delivery within pharma and life sciences. You will embed AI and data practices across the engineering lifecycle and operating model to ensure outcomes, quality and compliance at scale.

Lead distributed, multi-disciplinary teams across EPAM’s European/global delivery centres, manage scope/budget, partner with Sales on pricing, and apply GxP/regulatory concepts throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in IT delivery management with pharma or life sciences experience (GxP-regulated delivery).
• Experience running large multi-stream programmes or portfolios, incl. fixed-price/milestone delivery.
• Hands-on data/cloud/AI/ML delivery with practical view of productivity, team shape and risk.
• Knowledge of validated-system practices (CSV/CSA, GAMP 5) and data integrity; able to discuss with client QAS.
• Strong executive presence; able to lead steering committees and communicate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and margin across a portfolio or multi-workstream programme.
• Keep delivery health, risks and forecasts current in EPAM’s systems; escalate early and recover quickly.
• Manage contracts and change control for fixed-price, milestone and T&M work; protect margin.
• Lead delivery with AI embedded across the software lifecycle; measure productivity impact.
• Move generative AI from PoC to production with human oversight and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Sales to shape pricing and AI-driven delivery models beyond effort-based billing.
• Surface regulatory implications early; ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, GDPR, EU AI Act.
• Lead distributed teams; governance, steering meetings and executive reporting.
