Job summary

OMMAX GmbH is seeking a data governance professional to help clients unlock the full potential of their data. You will ensure data quality, governance, and structured management of large datasets within a consulting environment.

You will advise on data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and master data management, while facilitating workshops and bridging business and technical stakeholders. A collaborative, agile culture and hybrid offices in Munich support your growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent in Information Science, Business Informatics, Data Management, or related field.
• 2–3+ years of professional experience in Data Governance, Data Quality Management, or Master Data Management, ideally in consulting.
• Solid knowledge of data management frameworks and familiarity with data governance and data catalog tools.
• Experience structuring and analyzing large datasets, identifying inconsistencies, and improving data quality.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills bridging business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data quality assessments and define remediation strategies.

What we require:

• You hold a successfully completed university degree in Information Science, Business Informatics, Data Management, or a related field.
• You bring at least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, or Data Quality Management, ideally within a consulting environment.
• You have solid knowledge of data management frameworks and are familiar with common data governance and data catalog tools.
• You have experience structuring and analyzing large datasets, identifying inconsistencies, and sustainably improving data quality.
• You stand out through excellent communication and facilitation skills and are able to effectively bridge business and technical stakeholders.
• You work proactively and independently and thrive in a collaborative, agile environment.
• You are fluent in German and English.
