Infineon Technologies AG in Neubiberg, Germany, seeks a Senior Compact Modeling Engineer to blend creativity with deep expertise in semiconductor modeling. You will work in a flat, highly motivated team developing process design kits for automotive and beyond.

Responsibilities include wafer-level measurements for power devices, extracting SPICE and statistical models, ensuring quality and documentation, and supporting circuit designers with models for simulation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in semiconductor technologies, preferably compact modeling.
• Experience with device measurement and SPICE model development.
• Knowledge of DC and CV measurement systems.
• Nice to have analog circuit design knowledge.
• Familiarity with ICCAP, VerilogA and Python.

Key responsibilities in your new role

You will work in a highly motivated and flat-organized team of technical experts developing process design kits (PDK) for automotive products and beyond. Our internal customers are circuit designers who are distributed worldwide. With this position, you will be entering our „technical ladder”: our career path for experts.

• Measurements of device characteristics on wafer level for power semiconductor devices
• Extraction of spice level simulation models from parameter measurements
• Extraction of statistical models from process control monitoring data
• Fitting model parameters to measurement data
• Quality assurance and documentation
• Support of circuit designers using the models for circuit simulation
• Development of new methods for measurement and parameter extraction

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

Furthermore, you focus on the needs of our customers, including the design community, and can communicate with them clearly and independently.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics or a related field
• At least 3 years of working experience in semiconductor technologies, preferably in compact modeling-related subjects, like device measurement and SPICE models development
• Knowledge and experience with analog circuit design is a plus
• Knowledge of DC and CV measurement systems. Knowledge of ICCAP software, VerilogA, and Python are a plus
• Ideally also an understanding in technology processes, PDK development or use, understanding of a design flow
• Proficient in AI tooling across IDE copilots and agents, designing, implementing, and maintaining AI workflows
• Fluent English skills, German is a plus
