PRS, Frankfurt, Germany, is seeking a senior Data Centre leader to oversee a multi-site portfolio across Germany. Based in Frankfurt, you will lead operational management teams, develop customer relationships and drive standards of engineering, facilities management and service delivery.
This senior role requires proven experience managing multiple facilities, P&L responsibility, and the ability to build high-performance teams across locations.

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior data centre professional to take on a pivotal leadership position, overseeing a portfolio of data centre facilities across multiple locations in Germany.
Based in Frankfurt, this is a regional management appointment offering responsibility for several data centre sites, leading operational management teams, developing customer relationships and driving consistent standards of engineering, facilities management and service delivery across the portfolio.
Working for a globally recognised data centre services organisation, you will play a significant role in the continued growth and development of its German operations.
This is an opportunity for an established Data Centre Area Manager, Cluster Manager or Senior Data Centre Operations Manager who has the experience, commercial capability and leadership credentials to manage multiple facilities and develop high-performing management teams.
You will need to be based in Frankfurt and comfortable with regular travel across Germany to support the various sites and management teams within your portfolio.
Taking overall responsibility for a defined cluster of data centre facilities, you will provide strategic direction, operational leadership and commercial oversight across multiple locations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Take regional responsibility for the operational performance and development of several data centre facilities across Germany.
- Provide leadership and direction to individual Data Centre Managers, Site Managers and Contract Managers.
- Ensure consistent standards of engineering maintenance, facilities management, operational delivery and customer service across all locations.
- Conduct regular site visits, operational reviews and management meetings to maintain visibility and control across the portfolio.
- Drive operational excellence, standardisation and continuous improvement across the regional estate.
- Lead, develop and motivate a geographically dispersed management and engineering workforce.
- Build strong management structures, ensuring accountability, succession planning and talent development.
- Coach and support site leadership teams, developing a culture of high performance and professional excellence.
- Ensure appropriate workforce planning, resource allocation and management succession across the portfolio.
- Develop and maintain senior relationships with major international data centre customers.
- Act as a senior escalation point for key customer accounts, ensuring service expectations and contractual commitments are achieved.
- Hold significant commercial and financial responsibility across the portfolio, including P&L, OPEX, CAPEX, profitability and budget management.
- Identify opportunities to improve contract performance, increase revenue and develop additional services.
- Support business development, new tenders, contract mobilisation and strategic customer growth.
- Ensure effective delivery of data centre engineering maintenance and facilities management services across all sites.
- Maintain oversight of mechanical and electrical infrastructure, maintenance programmes, asset management and operational resilience.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, QHSE standards, customer procedures and contractual obligations.
- Drive consistent reporting, performance management, audit processes and operational governance.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality and engineering performance across the portfolio.
This is a senior appointment and requires substantial, demonstrable experience within the data centre industry.
We are specifically interested in candidates who have progressed beyond individual site management and have experience leading multiple data centre facilities, contracts or geographical clusters.
You should bring:
- Extensive data centre management experience gained within a data centre operator, developer or specialist facilities management / engineering services provider.
- Previous experience as an Area General Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Cluster Manager, Regional Data Centre Manager or Senior Data Centre Operations Manager.
- Proven responsibility for multiple data centre sites, locations or customer accounts.
- Experience managing and developing Data Centre Managers, Site Managers and senior engineering leadership teams.
- A strong technical understanding of data centre infrastructure, M&E engineering, critical facilities maintenance and operational management.
- Significant commercial experience, including P&L ownership, financial planning, contract performance and budget control.
- Experience managing major hyperscale, colocation or enterprise data centre customers.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with senior customer stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers.
- A track record of improving operational performance, developing teams and delivering commercial growth.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
The successful candidate must be based in or within a reasonable commuting distance of Frankfurt and be willing to travel regularly across Germany to manage and support the various facilities within the portfolio.
This is a regional leadership role requiring a visible management presence across multiple locations.

- Base salary up to €130,000, dependent on experience.
