Zusammenfassung

Südzucker AG seeks a senior AI Architect to design and implement first-of-a-kind AI solutions in Python, from validation to production, and to lead AI systems across the group. You will drive end-to-end LLM-based workflows, RAG, tools and APIs while guiding external partners.

Ideal candidates combine five-plus years in complex software/AI delivery, strong DevOps, cloud experience (Azure a plus) and fluency in German and English.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or related STEM field.
• Typically five or more years delivering complex software, data or AI solutions.
• Experience deploying AI-based applications in production with focus on LLMs.
• Strong hands-on development skills in Python.
• Strong software engineering and DevOps skills, including testing, CI/CD, observability and production operations.
• Solid knowledge of machine learning and data science.
• Experience in cloud and solution architecture; Azure knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of modern AI patterns: RAG, agentic workflows, tool use, guardrails.
• Familiarity with LangChain/Graph, OpenAI Agents SDK, n8n or similar.
• Experience integrating AI tools and enterprise systems via APIs and MCP.
• Ability to translate business objectives into technical architectures and communicate complex decisions.
• Experience guiding external technology partners.
• Proficiency in German and English.

Aufgaben

Your Tasks

• Design and implement first-of-a-kind AI solutions hands-on in Python, from initial validation through production deployment.
• Build end-to-end LLM-based and agentic AI systems spanning models, data, RAG, tools, APIs and enterprise integration.
• Establish engineering practices for evaluation, CI/CD, observability, monitoring and reliable production operations.
• Lead technical delivery with external partners, including implementation guidance, quality assurance and acceptance.

Your Profile

• A university degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, another discipline in science, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Typically five or more years of experience delivering complex software, data or AI solutions.
• Proven experience implementing and operating AI-based applications in production, focus on LLMs.
• Strong hands-on development skills inPython
• Strong software engineering and DevOps skills, including testing, CI/CD, observability and production operations.
• Solid knowledge of machine learning and data science.
• Experience in cloud and solution architecture; knowledge of Microsoft Azure is an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of modern AI application patterns, including RAG, agentic workflows, tool use, evaluation and guardrails.
• Familiarity with frameworks and orchestration platforms such as LangChain/Graph, OpenAI Agents SDK, n8n or similar.
• Experience integrating AI tools and enterprise systems through APIs and the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Ability to translate business objectives into technical architectures and communicate complex decisions clearly.
• Experience guiding external technology and implementation partners.
• Professional proficiency in German and English.
