We are looking for an exceptionally qualified and highly motivated
Senior Mass Spectrometry Specialist (m/f/d)
to join our Mass Spectrometry team based on our ISO9001:2015 certified facility at Proteome Sciences R&D GmbH &Co. KG in Frankfurt am Main.
- Independent operation, calibration, routine maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography (nano-LC) equipment.
- Development, optimization, and execution of quantitative LC-MS methods (including TMT, DIA, DDA, and targeted studies) for client projects and R&D.
- Technical oversight of project execution, capacity planning, and resource management in interaction with other teams to ensure timely delivery within budget.
- Diligent tracking and initial quality control of MS raw data in close interaction with the Bioinformatics and wet-lab team.
- Technical consulting and contribution to client communications, including project proposals, data presentations, and technical reports.
- Guidance and technical support for laboratory personnel to maintain high operational standards and best laboratory practices.
- Ensuring strict compliance of MS procedures with ISO9001:2015 and GCLP requirements.
- Ph.D. with 2-5 years of professional, preferably industrial or CRO background, operating LC-MS systems in a proteomics environment.
- Strong hands‑on experience and deep technical knowledge of nano LC and MS applied to peptides and proteins, including advanced instrument operation and troubleshooting.
- Solid proficiency with quantitative MS techniques (e.g., TMT, DIA, DDA, PRM).
- Expert-level knowledge of proteomic data processing software (e.g., Proteome Discoverer, DIA-NN, Skyline)
- Robust project coordination, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent technical documentation skills and readiness to contribute to client reports and presentations.
- Clear and proficient communication in written and spoken English.
