Alithea Bio in Berlin Buch is seeking a proteomics/mass spectrometry scientist (F/M/D) to take responsibility for our LC/MS equipment, develop PRM assays and ensure QC/QA standards in a growing startup with a bold mission to democratize data for immunopeptidomics.

You will maintain TIMS-TOF and LC systems, develop QA/QC procedures, evaluate new technologies, and support the team with data presentation and inventory management.

Qualifikationen

• Experience maintaining TIMS-TOF mass spectrometers and LC systems.
• Experience in peptide mass spectrometry and high-throughput peptidomics/proteomics.
• Experience in MS method development and data analysis, ideally using PRM.
• Passion for immunopeptidomics and working in quality-controlled environments.
• Analytical mindset with ability to challenge status quo and work independently with agile practices.

Aufgaben

• Maintaining LC/MS hardware, cleaning ion optics, changing columns and repairing MS and LC equipment as needed
• Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Develop novel PRM assays for absolute quantification of peptide targets with synthetic peptides
• Evaluate new technologies and instruments to enhance analytical capabilities and improve workflow efficiency
• Take care of additional tasks in a small company, including solvent waste management, backing up MS systems, presenting data to the team and managing stocks for MS consumables

Alithea's main area of activity is the study of HLA-bound peptides by high sensitivity high resolution mass spectrometry (immunopeptidomics). The role of the proteomics/mass spectrometry scientist (F, M, D) will be to take responsibility over Alithea's LC/MS equipment, develop PRM assays and maintain high quality performance through QC/QA procedures. Place of work is our laboratory in Berlin Buch.

Your role:

• Maintaining LC/MS hardware, cleaning ion optics, changing columns and repair MS and LC equipment as needed
• Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Develop novel PRM assays for absolute quantification of peptide targets with synthetic peptides
• Evaluate new technologies and instruments to enhance our analytical capabilities, to improve workflow efficiency and outline a fit-for-future plan of the laboratory
• taking care of many other tasks in a small company from solvent waste management, backing up MS systems, presenting data to the team and managing stocks for MS consumables

Your profile:

• You have experience maintaining timsTOF mass spectrometers and different LC systems independently
• You are experienced in peptide mass spectrometry and high-throughput peptidomics/proteomics
• You are experienced in MS method development and data analysis, ideally using PRM
• You are passionate about immunopeptidomics
• You have experience implementing and working in quality controlled environments
• You have an analytical mindset, think out of the box and you are always challenging status quo
• You are independent and self-organized, experience with agile working methods a plus
• You are fluent in English, German is a plus
