Job summary

Responsibilities

• Directs the overall operations and planning of all installation housing programs, including family, unaccompanied, privatized, and partner-leased housing.
• Develops local housing policies and long-range plans for barracks sustainment, modernization, and restoration projects in line with military guidelines.
• Manages the program budget and financial execution for housing operations, overseeing the annual income stream, utility waiver programs, and allowance surveys.
• Serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative to oversee multiple housing contracts, develop scopes of work, and authorize vendor payments.
• Monitors privatized housing compliance by reviewing business transaction documents, auditing partner records, and submitting formal monthly and quarterly reports.
• Manages housing plans and expenditures for senior leaders, including compiling six-year maintenance plans and briefing general officers on their residence costs.
• Represents the housing division in community meetings and advises command leadership on housing trends, customer service metrics, and program changes.

Position may be filled at the C-6A, C-07, or at the full performance level, C-7A. Incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher or full performance level in accordance with regulatory requirements, upon completion of required training, and recommendation of supervisor.

MINIMUM Hauptschulabschluss (E&T Level I) PLUS 2 years of clerical experience PLUS 4 years of job related experience.
C-1173-07:
MINIMUM Hauptschulabschluss (E&T Level I) PLUS 2 years of clerical experience PLUS 5 years of job related experience.
C-1173-7A:
MINIMUM Hauptschulabschluss (E&T Level I) PLUS 2 years of clerical experience PLUS 5 years of job related experience PLUS 1 year of professional work experience.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of clerical experience.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Clerical Experience:
Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Job Related Experience:
Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position.
