Job summary

The Global Talent Co. is seeking a Recruitment Assistant (German-Speaking) for a full-time hybrid role in Berlin, Germany. No HR experience is required and full training is provided.

You will be the first friendly contact for new applicants, calling candidates, sharing the opportunity, and coordinating a few screening questions to keep hiring on track. You’ll support the Head of People from the Berlin office, handling scheduling, candidate screening, and records in the HR system as you help grow

Qualifications

• Native or near-native German required.
• Fluent spoken and written English required.
• Based in Berlin with the right to work in Germany, able to work hybrid from the office.

Responsibilities

• Call new applicants within 24 hours of them applying.
• Introduce the company and the role in a warm, clear way.
• Ask structured screening questions and pass suitable candidates to the next stage.
• Make follow-up calls so no promising candidate is forgotten.
• Cover evenings and weekend shifts on a regular schedule.
• Keep candidate records tidy and up to date in Personio.
• Help improve call scripts and processes with the Head of People.

This hire sits at the very start of the recruitment funnel, where speed and a great first impression make all the difference.

The Role
As a Recruitment Assistant, you will support a busy People team by being the first friendly contact for new applicants. You’ll call candidates, tell them about the opportunity, ask a few screening questions, and keep everything organised so hiring runs smoothly.

You don’t need HR or recruiting experience. Full training is provided, and you’ll work closely with the Head of People from the Berlin office and home. This is a great first step for graduates, career changers, or anyone who loves talking to people and wants to grow into HR.

Ideal Candidate

• Native or near-native German (essential)
• Fluent spoken and written English (essential)
• Based in Berlin with the right to work in Germany, able to work hybrid from the office
• Available for evenings and weekends as a regular part of the schedule
• Some people-facing experience, including student jobs, hospitality, retail or customer service
• Friendly and confident on the phone
• Positive and resilient when making lots of calls in a day
• Organised and detail-oriented

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in recruiting or talent acquisition
• Experience with Personio or a similar HR system or CRM
