Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching seeks a Manufacturing Engineer specialized in Jigs and Tools for composite assets. You will drive industrialization, design specifications and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards within ME processes and cross-functional teams.

The role requires 5+ years in composite tooling, CATIA expertise, and strong collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and QA.

Formación

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years of proven professional experience in composite tooling, manufacturing fixtures, and composite materials.
• Advanced CATIA skills and familiarity with ME processes.

Responsabilidades

• End-to-End Industrialization: ensure industrialization of Jigs and Tools assets based on operational needs until handover to Operations Management.
• Design and/or specify Jigs and Tools assets according to ME Process Engineers, Operations, Maintenance Engineers, and QA Representatives.
• Ensure health & safety, ergonomics, environment, security, export controls and CE marking are integrated into J&T specifications.
• Industrial integration: ensure solutions are fully integrated with robust acceptance processes and KPIs.
• Procurement support: draft technical specifications for calls for tender.
• Capex/Opex alignment: support in elaborating CapEx and OpEx dossiers and drive continual improvement.
• Technology insertion: integrate mature industrial technologies with R&T to support Airbus Industrial Vision.

Manufacturing Engineer - Jigs & Tools Composite Specialist (d/f/m)

Through close collaborative development with aircraft design and other engineering disciplines, Manufacturing Engineering (ME) ensures the manufacturing feasibility OTOCOQ ( On Time, On Cost, On Quality ) of our new products. We act as the vital link to our internal production departments and external suppliers, enabling the manufacturing of parts, assembly, integration, and testing ("MAIT" system) of cutting-edge aircraft.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• End-to-End Industrialization: Ensure the successful industrialization of Jigs and Tools assets (creation, development, and modification) based on identified operational needs until final acceptance and handover to Operations Management.
• Design & Technical Specifications: Design and/or specify requested Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements from ME Process Engineers, Operations, Maintenance Engineers, and Plant/FAL Quality Assurance Representatives.
• Compliance & Human Factors: Seamlessly integrate requirements regarding Health & Safety, Ergonomics, Environment, Security (including Cyber Security), and legal standards (Export Control, CE Marking) into J&T technical specifications.
• Industrial Integration: Ensure supplied solutions are fully integrated within the industrial system through robust acceptance processes driven by defined KPIs.
• Procurement Support: Actively contribute to procurement phases, including the drafting of technical specifications for calls for tender.
• Capex/Opex Alignment: Support Finance activities in elaborating CapEx and OpEx dossiers.Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Support root cause analysis for non-conformities and drive corrective action projects.
• Technology Insertion:Integrate mature industrial technologies in liaison with R&T/R&D to consolidate the Airbus Industrial Vision.

Desired Skills And Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience: 5 years of proven professional experience in composite tooling, manufacturing fixtures, and composite materials.
• CAD Skills: Advanced level of proficiency in CATIA (V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE).
• Soft Skills: High adaptability to work on cutting-edge topics within an agile, cross-functional networking environment.
• Languages: Advanced / fluent proficiency in English (working language).
