Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching is seeking an Industrial PMTD Program Instantiation professional to drive end-to-end PMTD solutions for national eyes programs.

You will analyze PMTD options, gather operation requirements, coordinate with Industrial Architect teams, and lead the program’s digitalization efforts, ensuring on-time delivery while managing budgets and resources across manufacturing, procurement and quality.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or related discipline required.
• 2–5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of PMTD (Process, Methods, Tools and Data).
• Strong planning, resources, and risk management skills.
• Excellent English and German; Spanish and French helpful.
• Willingness to travel; multicultural experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Analyze different PMTD solutions.
• Gather requirements from Operations for new development.
• Collaborate with Industrial Architect team on ISD deliverables.
• Deliver complete PMTD solution adapted to program constraints.
• Act as PMTD focal point in meetings.
• Coordinate end-to-end digitalization activities across Manufacturing, Procurement and Quality.
• Prepare quotations of BOTs and updates to processes/methods/training.
• Define and secure budget, planning baseline.
• Run project governance with KPIs and escalations.
• Ensure delivery QoS in development and deployment.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Analyze different PMTD solutions
• Gather requirements from Operations for a new development
• Support Industrial Architect team collaboration in the ISD (Industrial System Development) deliverables
• Delivering complete Industrial PMTD solution to the program adapted to the program constraints.
• Be the PMTD focal point in the dedicated meetings.
• Coordinate the E2E Digitalization activities for the programme. Specifically between Manufacturing, Procurement and Quality.
• Support quotation of Digital for the new development
• Prepare quotations of the needed BOTs for the new development
• Prepare quotations of updating the processes, methods and training for the new development
• Collaborate in the OP an Operation portfolio to secure Digital capacity for the new development
• Set up the Project cost and planning baseline.
• Participate in Risk & Opportunities definition and follow up.
• Get budget approval from Programmes and/or DTO and secure booking codes.
• Define the required team to fulfil planning and secure resources.
• Run project governance (drumbeat meetings, KPIs, escalations, etc.)
• Ensure solution delivery OQ,OT,OC of development and deployment activities.
• Monitor quality of service of deployed solutions.

Scope and job dimensions

• Special dedication to national eyes only program
• The scope will be all the Air Power Programs (A400M, MRTT, Medium & Light, Aero structures, MRO, transversal activities etc).
• The dimension will include all Military Aircraft Plants & FALs (CBC, Tablada, Seville, Getafe, Bremen and Manching).
• Spacecraft programs will be out of scope.

Main activities & Deliverables

• Coordination with Digital, Program and Industrial Architect department for new developments.
• Prepare a list of needed tools and BOT (Business own tools) for new developments.
• Prepare a list of needed processes, methods and trainings to be updated for new developments.
• Support quotation from Digital for new developments.
• Provide quotations of BOT (Business own tools) for new developments.
• Provide quotations of updating processes, methods and trainings for new developments.
• Ensure Operation portfolio addition and OP to secure Digital resources for the new development.
• Follow up planning, budget, risk and opportunities.
• Coordinate & disseminate information and lessons learnt with other TO departments and areas.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Educated in an Engineering degree or a related discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering. P&I, Production, Quality and Procurement knowledge is valuable.
• Management skills regarding planning, resources allocation, financial status and risk & opportunities management.
• Knowledge about PMTD (Process, Methods, Tools and Data) of different programs
• Proactivity
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Organized & Structured.
• Negotiation skills.
• Advanced level in English and German. Spanish and French are also valuable.
• Experience in other divisions, areas or companies are also valuable.
• Availability for travelling
