Orizon GmbH sucht für einen renommierten Auftraggeber im Bereich Luft- und Raumfahrt in Hamburg/Finkenwerder eine/n Research & Technology Engineer (m/f/d) für fortschrittliche Thermoplastische Verbundwerkstoffe und Fertigungsverfahren. Sie arbeiten an Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekten mit Airbus Operations und Partnern.

Sie bringen ein abgeschlossenes Ingenieurstudium, Erfahrung in R&D/Manufacturing Engineering und Kenntnisse in Thermoplasten mit. Reisebereitschaft ca.

Qualifications

• Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Ingenieurwesen, Verbundwerkstoffe oder Vergleichbares.
• Berufserfahrung in Forschung & Entwicklung, Fertigungsengineering und Materialprüfung.
• Erfahrung mit Verbundwerkstoffen (Thermoplaste).
• Erfahrung mit AFP, Schweißen oder Stanzformen von Thermoplasten ist wünschenswert.
• Kenntnisse in Materialcharakterisierung (DMA, DSC, FTIR) vorteilhaft.

Responsibilities

• Forschung und Entwicklung zu Thermoplasten, Verarbeitung und Strukturanwendungen in der Luftfahrt.
• Durchführung und Auswertung von Experimentalkampagnen zur Materialeigenschaften.
• Bewertung von Fertigungsprozessen und struktureller Leistungsnachweise.
• Zusammenarbeit mit internen Teams (Design, Stress, Manufacturing) und externen Partnern an R&T-Projekten.
• Bleiben Sie auf dem neuesten Stand der Thermoplaste und Verarbeitungstechnologien.
• Erstellung technischer Berichte und Präsentationen zu R&T-Funden.
• Unterstützung der Überführung von Technologien in die industrielle Anwendung.
• Beitrag zur IP-Entwicklung durch Patentanmeldungen und technische Offenlegungen.

For our renowned customer Airbus Operations you are acting as Research & Technology Engineer (m/f/d) for advanced Thermoplastic Composites and Processes at the location Hamburg / Finkenwerder,

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities for thermoplastic materials, processing techniques and structural applications for aerospace
• Design, execute, and analyze experimental campaigns to characterize thermoplastic material properties
• Evaluate manufacturing processes, and assess structural performance
• Collaborate with internal teams (design, stress, manufacturing) and external partners on R&T projects
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in thermoplastic materials and processing technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation
• Prepare technical reports and presentations detailing R&T findings and recommendations
• Support the transition of developed technologies from research to industrial application
• Contribute to intellectual property development through patent applications and technical disclosures

Your Profile

• Completed studies in Engineering, Composites or comparable
• Professional experience in Research & Development, Manufacturing Engineering and Material Testing
• Experience in Thermoplastic Materials
• Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques such as automated fiber placement (AFP), welding, or stamp forming of thermoplastics is highly desirable
• Proficiency in material characterization techniques (e.g. DMA, DSC, FTIR) is a plus
• User skills in Google Workspace
• Fluent German and English skills spoken and written
• Willingness to travel (approximately every two weeks; within Europe, mainly Bremen and Stade)
