A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us in transforming how our EPC projects access and use information. Working with engineering, procurement, logistics and site teams, as well as process and tool owners, you will identify how information is created, exchanged and used across the project lifecycle and turn project needs into connected digital workflows. You will lead BIM Recalibration@GS SO, advance reliable information flows and digital interfaces, and drive adoption of improved ways of working. Alongside this, you will steer our broader data integration activities, provide clear business direction and align the roadmap with the overarching GS Data Backbone initiative. Your work will enable project teams and operational BIM Managers through consistent practices, trusted information and practical digital solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Identification and prioritization of information management use cases and project information needs, including the mapping of information producers, consumers, source systems and exchange points along the EPC project lifecycle
  • Leadership of BIM Recalibration@GS SO – our current initiative to improve BIM-based ways of working and the use of project information – and translation of its outcomes into repeatable processes with clear responsibilities and handovers
  • Continuous development of information management practices and information flows across the data landscape, definition of requirements for reliable data flows and digital interfaces, and guidance of implementation with solution architects, digital teams and tool owners, grounded in ISO 19650 principles
  • Coordination and execution of communication, training and rollout support to ensure colleagues’ understanding, adoption and sustained use of new processes and digital practices
  • Shaping and steering of GS SO's broader data integration roadmap, alignment with the GS Data Backbone – our shared layer for discovering and accessing trusted data across Gas Services – and connection of information management and wider EPC needs to reusable data capabilities, common definitions, source-of-truth rules, ownership and quality expectations
  • Tracking of implementation, adoption and business benefits across both areas, use of project feedback to improve processes, evaluation of new integration approaches with specialists and scaling of proven solutions
What You Bring
  • A degree in engineering, business informatics, digitalization or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Several years of experience leading cross-functional programs, process improvement or data-integration initiatives, ideally in energy, engineering, construction or other complex project environments
  • The ability to understand what information EPC teams need, where it is created and used, and how it should move between tools and project phases, and to turn this into clear requirements and governed processes for solution architects and technical teams
  • A strong conceptual and practical understanding of how data is stored, connected and made usable across tools, including relational storage, knowledge graphs, tool‑specific and cross‑tool/domain ontologies, semantic layers, replication and ingestion, and platforms such as Snowflake
  • The ability to establish rules that identify the same object across systems, harmonize values, determine the valid source, validate completeness and quality, and retain traceability, alongside practical knowledge of BIM methodology and ISO 19650
  • Strong stakeholder and change‑management skills, a structured delivery mindset, very good English and good German communication skills
