The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Product Owner to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our products. In this position, you will engage with stakeholders across the organization to gather, understand, and refine requirements, ensuring that mission needs are clearly captured and translated into actionable outcomes. You will be responsible for creating concise and well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria that guide development efforts and keep projects on track.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will communicate technical requirements effectively with engineering and technical teams, bridging the gap between mission objectives and technical execution. You will also maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that initiatives remain aligned with strategic goals and deliver maximum value.

As an active participant in SCRUM ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, you will help foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to support informed decision‑making, enabling the team to navigate challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.

You Have
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner supporting teams
  • Experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs
  • Experience managing project management tools such as Jira or Confluence
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders at various levels
  • Experience working within Agile and SCRUM teams
  • Ability to communicate requirements, manage scope, and maintain alignment between stakeholder needs and team capacity
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED and 11+ years of experience in a data science field, Associate’s degree and 7+ years of experience in a data science field, or Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in a data science field
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting DoD intelligence environments or supporting defense‑related programs
  • Experience working on classified systems and in resource‑limited environments
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks, such as Scrum or SAFe
  • Ability to foster collaboration across various teams
  • Ability to be proactive, detail‑oriented, and operate in a dynamic environment
  • Possession of excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation

Salary range: $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The projected compensation range for this position is a component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package. The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
