ESMT Berlin is seeking a Predoctoral Researcher (gn) to join the European Expectations Center on a full-time, 40 hrs/week position starting July 2027 for 1 year, renewable up to 2 years. The role focuses on empirical macroeconomics and finance.

You will gather and analyze large data sets, conduct statistical analyses, edit reports, and collaborate with international colleagues.

This predoc offers exposure to leading researchers and opportunities to attend doctoral courses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Behavioral Sciences or related field.
Strong quantitative background and analytical skills.
Proficiency in conducting statistical analyses.
Familiarity with at least one mathematical/statistical software.
Intention to pursue a doctoral degree.

Responsibilities

Support ongoing research projects by gathering, compiling, processing, and organizing large datasets.
Help conduct statistical analysis
Proofread and edit research reports, working papers, and publications
Maintain effective communication with all members of the faculty and external collaborators
Support organization of the annual conferences and associated PhD workshops
