Job summary

HESS plastics in Germany is offering an apprenticeship where you gain hands-on experience in plastics production and processing. You will work on planning, manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance as part of a collaborative team.

Ideal applicants are technically minded with good maths and science, and eager to learn. The program includes modern equipment, supportive mentors, and opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in technical/manual challenges.
• Good maths and science, including chemistry and physics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and control work and movement sequences, monitor results.
• Create and apply technical documents.
• Differentiate and categorize plastics, rubbers, additives and auxiliary materials.
• Prepare moulding compounds for process execution.
• Set up and test pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
• Commission machines, devices and systems.
• Production planning, control and monitoring.
• Maintain operating equipment.

What you can expect from us

• Planning and control of work and movement sequences, monitoring and assessment of results
• Application and creation of technical documents
• Differentiating and categorising plastics, rubbers, additives and auxiliary materials
• Process-oriented allocation of moulding compounds or semi-finished products and preparation for process execution
• Machining and processing methods for plastics
• Setting up and testing pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
• Commissioning of machines, devices and systems
• Production planning, control and monitoring of plastics
• Maintenance and care of operating equipment

• A good secondary school leaving certificate with particular strengths in maths and science (chemistry + physics)
