ALTEN is seeking a Production Planning Specialist in Germany to design and optimize integrated production and scheduling for satellite manufacturing, integration and testing. You will translate milestones into realistic schedules and coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other functions to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, hands-on planning experience, and strong SAP/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or a technical field.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, or production control.
• Strong SAP and Excel skills; UP is a plus.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented work approach.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain, and optimize integrated production and scheduling plans for satellite manufacturing, integration, and testing (AIT).
• Translate project milestones into realistic production schedules and ensure timely execution.
• Coordinate planning activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, and Project Management.
• Monitor progress, KPIs, and milestones; identify deviations and bottlenecks.
• Analyze impact of shortages, capacity constraints, and risks; implement mitigation actions.
• Prepare forecasts, status reports, and decision-support for Production and Project Management.

• develop, maintain, and continuously optimize integrated production and scheduling plans for satellite manufacturing, integration, and testing (AIT) activities
• translate project milestones into realistic production schedules and ensure their timely execution
• coordinate planning activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, and Project Management
• monitor progress, KPIs, and critical milestones while proactively identifying schedule deviations and bottlenecks
• analyze the impact of material shortages, capacity constraints, and scheduling risks, and implement appropriate mitigation actions
• prepare forecasts, status reports, and decision-making support for Production and Project Management

Qualifications

YOU…

• hold a degree in Engineering or a comparable technical qualification
• have experience in production planning, production control, scheduling, or operational planning
• possess good knowledge of SAP and Excel; experience with planning tools such as Unified Planning (UP) is an advantage
• have a solid understanding of manufacturing, assembly, or production processes
• demonstrate a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working
• stand out through strong communication and coordination skills and are comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders across different functions
