Job summary

ALTEN Germany GmbH seeks an Operational Planner Production (all gender) to design and optimize integrated production and scheduling plans for satellite manufacturing, integration and testing (AIT) activities. You will translate milestones into realistic production schedules and coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics and Project Management.

You hold an engineering degree or similar technical qualification, have proven experience in production planning,

Qualifications

• hold a degree in Engineering or a comparable technical qualification
• have experience in production planning, production control, scheduling, or operational planning
• possess good knowledge of SAP and Excel; experience with planning tools such as Unified Planning (UP) is an advantage
• have a solid understanding of manufacturing, assembly, or production processes
• demonstrate a structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented way of working
• stand out through strong communication and coordination skills and are comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders across different functions

Responsibilities

• develop, maintain, and continuously optimize integrated production and scheduling plans for satellite manufacturing, integration, and testing (AIT) activities
• translate project milestones into realistic production schedules and ensure their timely execution
• coordinate planning activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, and Project Management
• monitor progress, KPIs, and critical milestones while proactively identifying schedule deviations and bottlenecks
• analyze the impact of material shortages, capacity constraints, and scheduling risks, and implement appropriate mitigation actions
• prepare forecasts, status reports, and decision‑making support for Production and Project Management
