King & Moffatt is seeking a Project Planner to establish and maintain project planning controls and accurate reporting across multiple projects in the building services sector.

You will create master schedules, integrate subcontractor timelines, and develop KPIs while coordinating with clients, design teams and trade contractors. This role emphasizes strong communication, formal reporting, and adherence to timelines.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience as an M&E Planner on large commercial building services projects.
• MS Project experience is essential.
• Experience in construction planning for Mechanical/Electrical Building Services.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail for reports.
• Strong relationship-building with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work to strict timelines.

Job Description

As a Project Planner at King and Moffatt, you would be responsible for establishing and maintaining project planning controls and accurate reporting acrossmultiple projects.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Create a master baseline schedule in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project software as per the company procedures, industry best practice and client specifications.
• Using schedule hierarchy, create schedules for project delivery and communicate these to the project team.
• Create separate and integrated templates and model programmes for three stages being Pre-construction, construction and commissioning.
• Create detailed schedules covering design, procurement, installation and close out.
• Incorporate the trade contractors’ schedules into the Company schedule hierarchy.
• Communicate the scheduling and project controls matters to all members of the project team, which includes the Company, the client, the design team, and the trade contractors.
• Manage progress reporting and integration of progress information into the company’s progress reports.
• Create and monitor KPIs and production of weekly/monthly dashboards and reports.
• Engage in the change management process to determine the impact of change on the programme.
• Create and manage the commissioning programme.
• Develop commissioning KPI’s and reporting regime.
• Prepare time impact analyses to support extension of time claims.
• Evaluate extension of time claims from trade contractors.
• Mentor and provide training to junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in either Mechanical Engineeringor Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience working as an M&E Planner ideally on largecommercial building services projects.
• Previous experience using MS Project is essential.
• Experience working in construction planning in Mechanical/Electrical Building Services contracting is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to produce reports.
• Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to converse with clients and stakeholders at ease.
• Ability to work to own directive and stick to strict timeline schedules.
