Weltec Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to join our team in Germany, focusing on piping systems, isometrics, and P&ID alignment for complex projects.

The role emphasizes experience in semiconductor or pharma/biopharma campaigns; data centre exposure is a plus. A pipefitting background is considered advantageous, and cross-functional coordination with clients is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum Mechanical Engineering degree or national craft certification in pipefitting.
• Solid QA/QC experience in mechanical projects, preferably in semiconductor or pharma/biopharma environments.
• Knowledge of HVAC, piping systems and LSPs (P&IDs) is essential.

• Attend and coordinate walkdowns on piping systems to confirm design conformance.
• Compile detailed punch-lists and supervise resources to close out items.
• Assist quality audits of pipe fabrication and welding processes and identify improvements.

Weltec Engineering is a leading provider of Mechanical & Electrical contracting services in Ireland. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical QA/QC Engineer to join our team in Germany.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Semi-conductor or Pharma/Biopharma projects and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and online databases. Experience in Data Centre projects will also be considered.

Candidates with a pipefitting trade background are encouraged to apply, as it is considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Attend and coordinate walkdowns on piping systems to confirm compliance with design Isometric and LSP (P&ID) drawings
• Compile detailed punch-lists of items to be closed out
• Supervise trade resources, if required, assigned to close out punches
• Attend daily/weekly punch status meetings to discuss priorities and advise on status
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date as-building of isometrics
• Ensure pressure tests align with system/scope boundary requirements.
• Compile test packs for execution of testing scope and handover.
• Complete W1/W2/W3 walks with the Client to ensure timely system handover
• Assist quality audits of the pipe fabrication and welding process, identify areas for improvement

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Mechanical Engineering 3rd Level Degree or National craft certification in pipefitting
• Knowledge of HVAC, Piping Systems and LSPs (P&IDs) essential
• Previous experience in a similar QA/QC role, preferably in Semi-conductor or Pharma/Biopharma projects
• Experience with Data Centre projects will be considered
