Job summary

QCS Staffing Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Cost Manager for a contract role in Dresden, Germany, supporting a leading high-tech facilities provider delivering data centre projects across Europe.

You will manage commercial administration of mechanical subcontract packages, monitor costs and forecasts, support subcontractor management, and prepare reports for stakeholders. EU right to work required; some travel within Europe may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor on mechanical, MEP, or construction projects.
• Knowledge of subcontractor management, cost control, change management, and commercial reporting.
• EU passport or right to work within the EU.

What you’ll deliver:

• Manage the commercial administration of mechanical subcontract packages from procurement through to final account.
• Monitor project costs, valuations, forecasts, and change control processes to ensure commercial targets are achieved.
• Support subcontractor management, including payment applications, contract administration, and commercial negotiations.
• Prepare and maintain commercial reports, cost plans, and project documentation for key stakeholders.

Experience required:

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on mechanical, MEP, or construction projects.
• Knowledge of subcontractor management, cost control, change management, and commercial reporting.
• Willingness to work within Europe, including rotational travel where required.
• EU passport or right to work within the European Union.
