Evergreen Talent Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead mechanical delivery for a major hyperscale data centre project in Berlin. You will coordinate with Engineering, BIM, QA/QC, Commercial, EHS and Commissioning teams to ensure safe, on-time, high-quality execution of mechanical construction activities.

About the Opportunity

A leading Tier 1 Contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join its project team in Berlin, delivering a large-scale Hyperscale Data Centre.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of mechanical construction activities across the project, coordinating closely with Engineering, BIM, QA/QC, Commercial, EHS and Commissioning teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager with a strong background in mission-critical or technically complex projects to join a major European Data Centre development.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Construction Manager

• Lead the delivery of mechanical construction activities across the Data Centre project.
• Manage Mechanical Supervisors, subcontractors, specialist vendors and direct labour.
• Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, drawings, specifications and project quality standards.
• Oversee installation of HVAC, chilled water, pipework, ventilation, drainage and associated plant.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, BIM, Electrical, CSA and Commissioning teams.
• Review RAMS, installation methodologies, technical submittals and construction documentation.
• Monitor progress, productivity and labour requirements across multiple work fronts.
• Manage technical issues, RFIs, design changes and site coordination challenges.
• Drive QA/QC standards, inspections, snagging and defect close-out.
• Support pressure testing, flushing, commissioning and final handover activities.
• Attend construction, coordination and progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with project EHS requirements and company procedures.

Necessary Requirements of the Mechanical Construction Manager

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager, Mechanical Package Manager or Senior Mechanical Supervisor.
• Strong experience within Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Industrial or other technically complex projects.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services and construction delivery.
• Experience managing subcontractors, labour and specialist mechanical packages.
• Strong understanding of programme, quality, safety and commercial requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Mechanical Engineering or trade background is highly advantageous.
• Previous Data Centre experience is highly desirable.
• Full working rights to operate in Germany / Europe are preferred.
