Job summary

Monotype is seeking a sales leader in Berlin or Cologne to drive revenue and develop a high-performing team in a dynamic, SaaS-focused market. You will lead, train and forecast a revenue-driven sales organisation, aligning with product and marketing to expand market share and attract top talent.

Ideal candidates bring native German and fluent English, proven SaaS leadership, and a track record of managing complex sales cycles while delivering revenue targets in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• Native German and fluent English required.
• Extensive experience in fast-paced SaaS or tech environments.
• Direct management of sales reps or mentoring for at least 2 years.
• Excellent presentation skills across all organizational levels.
• Ability to estimate services needs with customers.
• Proven ability to manage complex SaaS sales cycles.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train a revenue carrying sales team.
• Manage and deliver detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
• Drive and implement sales selling cycle and methodology based on internal process, market research and competitor analyses
• Develop annual strategic sales plans to drive revenue and increase market share from new clients
• Analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results
• Set quality objectives, performance standards and priorities that are implemented and monitored across the team
• Leverage customer insights to identify business opportunities and product strategies
• Monitor market and competitor activity and share insights with senior leadership and sales teams
• Build and nurture mutually productive partnerships across the organization, including product management, product marketing, corporate marketing, sales operations, finance, legal and human resources
• Build an environment and sales practice that makes Monotype an employer of choice for high performing sales people in the marketing tech and creative professional space
• Carrying responsibilities such as one to one, team and forecast meetings

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage, develop and train a highly effective revenue carrying sales team capable of implementing the company strategies and initiatives
• Manage and deliver detailed and accurate sales forecasting

What we’re looking for:

• Native German and fluent English language skills
• Extensive experience in a fast-paced environment, preferability SaaS or tech environment
• Proven experience of direct management of sales reps, or mentoring relationships (ideally minimum 2 years)
• Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to present to all organization levels
• Ability to work with customer and internal team members to estimate services needs
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate the benefits of SaaS or tech product (licenses and services)
• Proven ability in managing complex sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful revenue attainment and transfer this knowledge to sales reps
• Experience with consultative selling methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Value Selling, Challenger Sale, Gap Selling and Sandler Sales
