Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned pre-sales professional with deep mainframe expertise to align client roadmaps with IBM Z solutions and lead modernization discussions.

You will craft end-to-end solution narratives, develop proposals, and support demos while coordinating across time zones to ensure delivery readiness. Fluent English required for executive presentations and customer engagements.

Qualifikationen

• Mandatory skills: Q Series, VSAM, CICS/DB2.
• 9-12 years of experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 administration/programming.
• Hands-on experience with VSAM file structures and performance tuning.
• Strong JCL skills.
• Solid COBOL experience.
• CICS background covering transaction flows, concurrency, and resiliency design.
• Familiarity with IBM MQ messaging patterns.
• Proven experience connecting technical capabilities to industry use cases and business value.
• Native-level fluency in English, written and verbal, including presentations.

Aufgaben

• Develop strategic account plans aligning client technology roadmaps with mainframe solutions.
• Partner with client stakeholders to understand critical workloads and shape mainframe modernization proposals.
• Work with solution architects and delivery teams to build end-to-end solution narratives.
• Prepare proposals, SOWs, and effort estimates covering resourcing, timelines, and risk.
• Qualify new opportunities based on client intent, technical fit, budget, and implementation complexity.
• Deliver presentations on mainframe technologies and their business benefits.
• Run pipeline reviews and track opportunity health.
• Support pre-sales teams on demos and POCs.
• Track market trends in mainframe and enterprise technology.
• Document client requirements and success criteria for handoff to delivery.
• Collaborate with legal and contracts teams on commercial terms.
• Maintain accurate CRM data for pipeline forecasting and reporting.
• Coordinate cross-time-zone collaboration during standard day-shift hours.
