Zusammenfassung

EPAM Systems is seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to support retirement planning platforms for a leading wealth management firm. You will design, develop, and maintain mainframe apps using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, IBM MQ and Java.

You will also troubleshoot production issues, handle batch processing and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable solutions. Occasional office presence required.

Qualifikationen

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, IBM MQ and Java.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving mainframe abends and production issues.
• Experience with mainframe job schedulers and batch processing environments.
• Exposure to ITSM and operational support practices.
• Hands-on with ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with CICS, Assembler, IDMS and IMS.
• Experience with ISPW, Topaz and Compuware toolsets.
• ITIL certification.

• Participate in project interviews, technical discussions, and implementation planning activities.

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong experience in mainframe technologies and Java development to support a key Retirement Planning platform for a leading Wealth Management firm operating within a broker-dealer model. In this role, you will focus primarily on new feature development while also providing production support for business-critical applications. You will leverage technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, IBM MQ, and Java, troubleshoot complex production issues, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, IBM MQ, and Java development
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve common mainframe job abends and production issues
• Experience working with mainframe job schedulers and batch processing environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Exposure to IT Service Management processes and operational support practices
• Hands-on experience with problem management tools, preferably ServiceNow
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
• Ability and willingness to work from the office occasionally as required
• Completion of a project interview is required
• Nice to have Experience with CICS development and support
• Knowledge of or experience with Assembler, IDMS, and IMS environments
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as EXPEDITOR
• Knowledge of mainframe tools including ABENDAID, TELON, and FileAid
• Experience with ISPW, Topaz, and Compuware toolsets
• ITIL certification
