Jobtailor in Germany is seeking a senior logistics leader to own domestic and international transportation strategy, oversee execution, and drive cost efficiency across the network for multi-modal freight.

You will lead carrier sourcing, RFPs, contract negotiations, and ongoing performance management while steering KPI dashboards, budgeting, risk management, and cross‑functional collaboration with Supply Planning, Finance, Production, and Customer Service.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of logistics and transportation experience across multiple material types and finished goods.
• 2+ years of people leadership or cross-functional project leadership.
• Strong experience with carrier negotiations, freight procurement, budgeting, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with TMS/ERP systems, Excel; BI/reporting tools are a plus.
• Knowledge of freight market dynamics, import/export processes, and 3PL management.
• APICS CSCP or CLTD certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Oversee risk management, contingency planning, freight claims, customs clearance and transportation compliance, including CTPAT and import/export requirements.
• Support strategic supply chain projects including TMS implementation and broader logistics network improvement initiatives.

• Drive transportation optimization and continuous improvement initiatives across lanes, modes, routing, and network design.


• Partner cross-functionally with Supply Planning, Finance, Production, Procurement, Customer Service, and Warehouse leadership departments.


• Oversee risk management, contingency planning, freight claims, customs clearance and transportation compliance, including CTPAT and import/export requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field required.


• 5–8+ years of logistics and transportation experience across multiple material types and finished cased goods, including domestic freight management; international exposure and ocean freight management experience preferred.


• 2+ years of people leadership or demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and developing talent.


• Strong experience with carrier negotiations and management, freight procurement, budgeting, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement.


• Proficiency with TMS/ERP systems, Excel, and logistics analytics; BI/reporting tools are a plus.


• Knowledge of freight market dynamics, transportation compliance, import/export processes, and 3PL management preferred.


• APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution) preferred.


• Ability to negotiate and manage vendors.
