Zusammenfassung

Aptiv in Germany is seeking a Lead Test Development Engineer to steer the strategy, development, and deployment of manufacturing test solutions for complex electronic products from prototype to mass production.

You will lead a global engineering team, collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers, and mentor engineers while driving innovation in test methodologies, automation, and data‑driven quality improvements.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or related technical field.
  • Several years of experience in electronics manufacturing test development.
  • Strong knowledge of ICT, Functional Test, Boundary Scan, Flying Probe, and End-of-Line testing.
  • Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C#, or similar programming environments.
  • Understanding of PCB manufacturing and embedded systems.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools and manufacturing quality systems.
  • Knowledge of Design for Test (DFT) principles and failure analysis techniques.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Lead the development and deployment of manufacturing test solutions for complex electronic products.
  • Collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and global teams to ensure robust test coverage and uptime.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and drive innovation in test methodologies and automation.
  • Design, develop, validate, and deploy test systems and strategies.
  • Define test coverage requirements and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop hardware and software solutions for ICT, FCT, End-of-Line, Boundary Scan, Flashing, and Automated Inspection.
  • Collaborate with product teams to improve Design for Testability (DFT).
  • Analyze test data to identify yield losses and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support manufacturing launches and ramp-up across global facilities.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for test-related failures.
  • Mentor test engineers and promote engineering best practices.
  • Work with suppliers to define, procure, and qualify new test equipment.

Responsibilities
  • As a Lead Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and deployment of manufacturing test solutions for complex electronic products.
  • You will work closely with product engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and global engineering teams to ensure robust test coverage, high equipment uptime, and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
  • You will provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and drive innovation in test methodologies, automation, and data‑driven quality improvements.
  • Lead the design, development, validation, and deployment of manufacturing test systems and strategies.
  • Define test coverage requirements and ensure compliance with customer and internal quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies including ICT, Functional Test, Boundary Scan, Flying Probe, and End‑of‑Line testing.
  • Experience with automated test development using LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C#, or similar programming environments.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, PCB manufacturing processes, and embedded systems.
  • Experience with manufacturing quality systems and statistical analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of Design for Test (DFT) principles and failure analysis techniques.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
