Valeo seeks a strategic Semiconductor Test Strategy Expert to lead global test coverage standards and drive supplier governance across R&D, purchasing, and manufacturing. You will set the authoritative direction on SoC/MCU/ASIC selection and oversee robust screening processes to minimize defects in next‑gen vehicle architectures.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in automotive semiconductors, deep DFT knowledge, and experience with AEC/ISO standards.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in the semiconductor industry in automotive contexts.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, DFT and failure mechanisms.
• Proficiency in automotive quality standards (AEC-Q100/101/200, ISO 26262, IATF 16949) and statistical data analysis.
• Assertive negotiator who can translate technical issues into business risks for executives.

Aufgaben

• Define global semiconductor test coverage standards and drive cross-functional adoption across R&D, Purchasing and Manufacturing.
• Act as technical authority in selecting SoCs/MCUs/ASICs and Power Modules; challenge supplier capabilities in RFQ phase.
• Conduct deep-dive supplier audits focusing on DFT and fault coverage to enforce zero-defect aims.
• Lead task forces on high-impact semiconductor failures and push for advanced screening techniques to eliminate latent defects.

You will be the authoritative voice during sourcing decisions, driving robust test strategies, and ensuring our suppliers adhere to zero-defect standards for our next-generation vehicle architectures. We are looking for YOU as Semiconductor Test Strategy Expert (m/f/d) for our location in Wemding, Munich, Bietigheim-Bissingen, Creteil, Prague, Rakovnik, or Tuam.

These challenges await you:

• Strategic Leadership: Define global standards for semiconductor test coverage and quality. Lead the cross-functional integration of these standards across R&D, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
• Technical Sourcing Authority: Act as the technical support in selecting SoCs, MCUs, ASICs, and Power Modules. Challenge supplier capabilities and mitigate technical risks early in the RFQ phase.
• Supplier Governance: Conduct deep-dive technical audits of supplier methodologies, specifically focusing on Design for Test (DFT) and fault coverage.
• Failure Analysis & Improvement: Lead task forces on high-impact semiconductor failures. Drive 8D problem-solving and push for advanced screening (e.g. Outlier Detection, Part Average Testing) to eliminate latent defects.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 10+ years in the semiconductor industry (Product/Test Engineering or Quality) within an automotive Tier-1 or major IDM/Foundry environment.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, DFT, and failure mechanisms.
• Proficiency in automotive quality standards (AEC-Q100/101/200, ISO 26262, IATF 16949) and statistical data analysis (SYL, SBL, PAT).
• An assertive negotiator capable of challenging supplier assertions and translating deep technical issues into business risks for executive leadership.
• A resilient leader comfortable driving cultural and technical transformation within a large, global organization.
