Job summary

PUMA is seeking a skilled Product Designer to contribute to annual design plans and push innovative ideas in fashion apparel. You will align design execution with brand strategy and collaborate with Senior Designer to deliver compelling concepts.

You bring a degree in design, strong color sense, and experience in fashion apparel. Proficiency with Mac, Illustrator, and 3D is expected, as is good English communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in design, fashion design, or similar.
• First practical experience in fashion apparel.
• Knowledge of lifestyle sports, fabrics, and industry tech.
• Strong color sense and creativity.
• Proficiency with Mac, Illustrator, and 3D tools.
• Knowledge of tech packs and product development.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with confident presentation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the annual product design plan for the category.
• Support the Senior Designer in executing innovative design development.
• Integrate product and technical developments into design.
• Contribute to design content quality to reinforce brand position.
• Challenge the brand guidelines with new ideas when needed.
• Gather market intelligence on design trends and apply them.
• Launch innovative design ideas aligned with product strategies.
• Identify functionality requirements and ensure IT systems are used.
• Identify opportunities for design support to improve business processes.
• Deliver projects on time according to calendar.

YOUR MISSION

• Contribute to the formulation of the annual product design plan for the product category and introduce and execute innovative design ideas, to achieve Business targets and product category objectives
• Support the Senior Designer in the execution of innovative product design development aimed at continuous design innovation and achieving set goals
• Integrate product and technical developments into product design
• Contribute to the quality of products’ design content to reinforce and strengthen the brand position and generate consumer demand
• Challenge the global brand positioning guidelines to ensure consideration of new product and program ideas and appropriate modification when necessary
• Under the direction of the Senior Designer/Team head/Creative Director, collect market intelligence, providing all involved with accurate and up-to-date information on design trends and developments and utilizes them effectively
• Launch innovative product design ideas in line with specific product strategies
• Identify functionality requirements and ensure accurate use of information technology systems to gain competitive advantage
• Identify opportunities for design support to improve business processes and enhance customer/consumer intimacy
• Delivery of projects in line with given calendar.

YOUR TALENT

• Bachelor/master’s degree in design, Fashion design, or similar education
• First work experience in the Fashion Apparel industry
• Knowledge of lifestyle sports, sports performance & culture, fabrics, and new industry technologies
• Very good feeling for colors & creativity
• PC literate with Apple Mac, Illustrator and 3D
• Knowledge with tech packs and product development
• Strong written and spoken English skills
• Confident presentation skills
