Job summary

QCG Computer GmbH in Germany seeks an experienced MES Engineer to configure, maintain and optimize MES systems in the production environment.

You will manage MES master data, handle production incidents, and design workflows to improve efficiency. The role requires collaboration with production, engineering and IT teams, plus strong English and German language skills.

Qualifications

• More than two years' experience in manufacturing IT or MES systems.
• Solid understanding of MES systems and production processes.
• Experience with system configuration, data maintenance and workflow setup.
• Ability to analyze production incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Basic data querying and analysis to support improvements.
• Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented with strong responsibility.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in production.
• Very good English skills; German knowledge is a plus.
• Chinese language skills are considered a strong advantage.

• Maintain and manage MES-related master data to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
• Support production operations by handling unexpected system- or process-related incidents on the production line.
• Design, implement and maintain rework processes and workflows within the MES system.
• Support the definition of new product manufacturing processes and continuously improve existing production flows.
• Perform shopfloor data queries and support data analysis to improve transparency, efficiency and decision-making.
• Contribute to system optimization and continuous improvement projects related to MES and manufacturing systems.
• Work closely with production, engineering and IT teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and successful project execution.

Your profile

• Completed vocational training or university studies in computer engineering, computer science, information technology or a comparable field.
• More than two years of professional experience in manufacturing IT, MES systems or production-related system support.
• Solid understanding of MES systems and production processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with system configuration, data maintenance and process workflow setup.
• Ability to analyze production incidents, identify root causes and support effective corrective actions.
• Basic experience in data querying and analysis to support production and improvement initiatives.
• Structured, reliable and solution-oriented working style with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a production environment.
• Very good English skills, both spoken and written. German knowledge is a plus.
• Chinese language skills are considered a strong advantage.
