Common Codes is leading Germany’s EUDI Wallet initiative. We seek an IT Operations Coordinator (all genders) to ensure well-structured IT infrastructure, documentations, and efficient lifecycle management. Remote from Germany with a focus on technical and budgetary evaluation of quotations.

You will oversee IT project management, access controls, and the IT approval workflow, contributing to a secure and scalable public infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a similar IT operations role.
• Experience in IT project management.
• Knowledge of IT purchasing processes.
• Solid experience in UNIX/Linux systems.
• Knowledge of automation and monitoring solutions.
• Basic storage administration knowledge.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

IT Operations Coordinator (all genders) - Remote from Germany

ABOUT US

Common Codes is leading the development of Germany’s EUDI Wallet on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation. Our mission is to build secure, privacy-first and trustworthy digital public infrastructure. Together with partners from government, business, research and civil society, we are creating an open and interoperable ecosystem for digital credentials. The EUDI Wallet will enable public authorities and companies to offer new digital services, simplify processes and develop applications based on verifiable digital information. For citizens, it will provide a simple and secure way to identify themselves, store digital credentials and share only the information required in a specific situation. Whether opening a bank account, applying to a university or proving their age, users will remain in control of their personal data. By building this infrastructure, we are laying the foundation for a more accessible, efficient and trustworthy digital society. The EUDI Wallet will reduce bureaucratic barriers, make digital services easier to use and strengthen digital sovereignty in Germany and Europe

YOUR ROLE

You enjoy ensuring that IT infrastructure is well-structured, well-organised and properly documented. It’s important for you to understand and get to the bottom of things from a technical point of view as well. Your understanding of IT project management and IT purchasing knowledge enables you to assess quotations from both a technical and budgetary perspective. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate our IT-application and -service lifecycle
• Control IT purchasing (hardware, software, services)
• Manage access rights control and account management
• Implementation of the IT access process
• Monitoring of our IT approval process

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position
• Substantiated experience in IT project management
• Knowledge and understanding of IT purchasing
• Solid experience in the provision and operation of UNIX/Linux systems
• Good knowledge of the provision and configuration of automation and monitoring solutions
• Basic knowledge of storage administration for local and central storage systems
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
