Job summary

smart Europe GmbH seeks a proactive Intern Procurement to support daily procurement activities, perform market research, and assist with NDA/sign-off and contract follow-up. You will help maintain supplier data, analyze spend and supplier performance, and facilitate routine meetings within a cross-European procurement team.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in engineering, SCM, business with SCM focus, computer science, or informatics, with fluent English and German/Chinese preferred.

Qualifications

• University degree or studying towards Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration with SCM major, computer science, informatics or comparable degree.
• English is required with German and Chinese preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operational procurement projects.
• Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers.
• Facilitate NDA sign-off, contract follow-up, and data analysis.
• Maintain supplier base and support supplier due diligence assessments.
• Assist in daily meeting facilitation and procurement documentation.

About the role:

The Intern Procurement will support the procurement team in daily operations. The main responsibilities will include supporting the day-to-day activities of the procurement department, executing market research in order to find fitting potential vendors, NDA sign off, contract follow up, conducting data analysis, maintaining the existing supplier base, facilitating the technical assessment sessions, supplier due diligence assessment and daily meeting facilitation, etc.

Your responsibilities:

• Support the daily operational procurement projects
• Keeping track of procurement requests / activities
• Meeting facilitation
• Supplier due diligence result collection and analysis
• Procurement documents follow up and tracking e.g. NDA and contracts

Data analysis

• Spend analysis
• Supplier performance and scorecard

Market Research

• Conduct market researches in order to find and analyse potential vendors / suppliers for specific purchase requests from Business Units

What you bring along:

Education

• University degree or studying towards one in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration with major in Supply Chain Management, computer science, informatics or comparable degree

Knowledge / Functional Expertise

• Knowledge of Procurement processes
• Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of software development
• Experience with Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or IT development
• Fluent in English and preferably also in German and Chinese
• Excellent organization skills (ability to manage multiple tasks)
• Logical and structured thinking
• Ability to work under pressure and to solve the problems
