Job summary

tesa SE in Hamburg offers an internship (m/f/x) in Adhesive Tapes Development. You will be a full team member and gain hands-on experience in pressure-sensitive and structural adhesives.

You will support daily lab activities, prepare mechanical tests, document results, and contribute to new adhesive solutions while integrating into an international, cross-functional team. Qualifications

• Currently in final semesters of a Bachelor’s degree or enrolled in a Master’s program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a comparable field.
• Available to start an internship from January or February 2027.
• Motivated to support Product Development for 6 months (12 months would only be possible if you are doing a mandatory internship).
• You have already gained initial practical experience in laboratory work.
• You demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and are able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support daily activities in a chemical laboratory and contribute to the development of new adhesive solutions.
• Prepare and carry out mechanical tests to characterize the performance of adhesive tape systems.
• Carefully document and evaluate test results to ensure reliable, high-quality data.
• Support research projects on debond-on-demand solutions and further new technologies.

You will be part of a collaborative team of developers working on projects in the field of pressure-sensitive or structural adhesives. We work in a dynamic environment and value open exchange, good teamwork, and hands‑on problem solving.
