Job summary

tesa offers an internship opportunity in its chemistry team at the Hamburg campus. You will work within a collaborative developer group, performing laboratory tasks, running mechanical tests, and documenting results to support adhesive solutions.

The program emphasizes hands-on problem solving, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration among international teams. Starting January or February 2027, the internship can lead to a working student position or further development through the tesa

Qualifications

• Currently in final semesters of Bachelor’s or enrolled in a Master’s program in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Available to start internship January or February 2027.
• Willing to commit to 6 months (12 months if mandatory internship).
• Initial practical experience in laboratory work.

Responsibilities

• Support daily activities in a chemical laboratory.
• Prepare and carry out mechanical tests for adhesive systems.
• Document and evaluate test results to ensure high-quality data.
• Support research projects on debond-on-demand solutions and new technologies.

What you will do

You will be part of a collaborative team of developers working on projects in the field of pressure-sensitive or structural adhesives. We work in a dynamic environment and value open exchange, good teamwork, and hands‑on problem solving.

• You will support daily activities in a chemical laboratory and contribute to the development of new adhesive solutions
• You will prepare and carry out mechanical tests to characterize the performance of adhesive tape systems
• You will carefully document and evaluate test results to ensure reliable, high‑quality data
• You will support research projects on current topics and developments for debond‑on‑demand solutions and further new technologies

What you will need

• You are currently in the final semesters of your Bachelor’s degree or enrolled in a Master’s program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a comparable field
• You are available to start an internship from January or February 2027
• You are motivated to support Product Development for 6 months (12 months would only be possible if you are doing a mandatory internship)
• You have already gained initial practical experience in laboratory work
• You demonstrate a high level of self‑motivation and are able to work independently
• You show good self‑organization and effective time management skills
• You integrate well into an international and cross‑functional team
• You are fluent in German and/or English
