Synaptikon GmbH is seeking a Freelance CRM & Content Manager in Berlin to plan, execute, and optimize CRM campaigns across newsletters, website, in-app channels, and blog. You’ll combine strategic CRM thinking, creative content development, and science understanding to deliver the right message at the right moment.

You will develop automated workflows, segmentation strategies, and personalized experiences while ensuring clear distinctions between scientific evidence and marketing claims.

Our CRM team plays a vital role in helping people better understand complex topics in health, medicine, and neuropsychology. We turn scientific knowledge into simple, engaging, and accessible communication that inspires as many people as possible to train their mental fitness and take care of their brain health.

As a FreelanceCRM & Content Manager, you will plan, execute, and continuously optimize CRM campaigns that reach millions of people across newsletters, the website, in-app channels, and our blog. You will combine strategic CRM thinking, creative content development, and a strong understanding of science to deliver the right message to the right person at the right moment.

You will

• Plan, build, and manage CRM campaigns using the Hubspot Marketing Hub, from concept through execution and optimization.

• Develop automated workflows and logical content sequences that engage users throughout their journey.

• Create relevant, accessible, inspiring content around cognitive fitness, mental fitness, and brain health.

• Deliver engaging communication across newsletters, website, in-app channels, and blog content.

• Develop segmentation strategies and marketing funnels to deliver personalized and relevant experiences.

• Automate customer interactions using event- and behavior-triggered communications to maximize reach and engagement.

• Continuously optimize campaigns through A/B testing, data-driven experimentation, and performance analysis.

• Critically evaluate scientific studies, translate relevant findings into compelling content, and clearly distinguish scientific evidence from marketing hype.

• Work as part of an interdisciplinary Growth Team, contributing ideas that improve both the product and the overall user experience.

• Question existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and proactively bring new ideas to the team.

Your profile

• Relevant experience in email marketing automation with the Hubspot Marketing Hub.

• Experience developing customer segments, funnels, automated workflows, and triggered communications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. German is desirable

• A precise, engaging, and empathetic writing style, with a strong focus on readability and impact.

• The ability to critically assess scientific studies, understand their context, and distinguish evidence-based insights from exaggerated claims.

• A proactive mindset: you question the purpose behind tasks, take ownership, and contribute your own ideas.

• A strong personal interest in the brain, cognitive performance, and brain health.

• An interest in or personal experience with digital health, education, or productivity apps.

• The ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) in Berlin.

• A willingness to continuously learn, experiment, and improve communication based on data and user feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience or interest in UX, visual design, or illustration.

• A degree in psychology, neuropsychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, media, communications, journalism, or a related field.
