Overview

Information Security Risk Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Risk Analyst to support the implementation of their enterprise-wide information security program. This role will partner closely with security leadership to drive risk assessments, compliance, and mitigation strategies across complex environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on information security expertise.

Location: 100% Remote (must be able to work PST hours)

Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $65–70 per hour W2

Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal risk assessments of information systems and maintain updated risk logs.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies aligned with security standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely risk assessments, reporting, and mitigation follow-ups.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and system-wide security standards.
  • Maintain an inventory of information systems while monitoring progress across complex environments.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of IT security or information security experience, including risk assessments and compliance.
  • 2+ years of experience administering IT security controls and supporting incident response efforts.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as UC IS-3 or ISO 27002, with technical background in IT systems.
  • Hands-on exposure to security technologies (e.g., SIEM, CASB, EDR, DLP, IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption, cloud services).
  • Strong communication and project management skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and senior leadership.
