Job summary

BERNER is seeking an experienced logistics professional to plan and coordinate transportation activities across inbound and inter-distribution flows. You will manage orders, monitor performance, and drive cost efficiency in a global environment.

The role requires strong planning, negotiation, and project management skills, with fluency in English and German, and familiarity with TMS systems. An international team and growth opportunities are offered.

• Experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• Knowledge of transportation planning and carrier management.
• Experience with tenders, provider selection, and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management in an international business environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate inbound and inter-distribution center transportation activities, including transportation volumes and capacity requirements.
• Create and manage transportation orders to ensure efficient and reliable shipment execution.
• Monitor delivery performance and ensure on-time transportation service.
• Assess, select, and manage logistics service providers based on defined performance and cost criteria.
• Audit transportation invoices, manage transportation costs, and identify optimization opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvements to increase transportation efficiency and overall warehouse network performance

YOUR PROFILE

• Several years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong knowledge of transportation planning, execution, and carrier management.
• Experience with transportation tenders, provider selection, and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation-related technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in an international business environment.
• Fluent in English & German, further language skills advantageous
