A leading automotive racing team in Neuburg, Germany seeks an experienced engineer to develop high-voltage batteries for Formula 1 vehicles. This role involves designing components, collaborating with various departments, and maintaining CAD models using CATIA V5. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant engineering field and professional experience in motorsport. Fluency in German or English is required. The position is available starting January 1, 2026.
Our Team
Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.
The position for the Audi F1 Project is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).
In the field of high-voltage storage development, you will work on the key component of electric high-performance drive systems and play your part in ensuring we are able to succeed in a highly competitive environment. You will be involved in areas ranging from requirements management and methods development to the detailed design for HV battery concepts and HV electronics as well as battery cell definitions for high-performance motorsports applications, and you will accompany your development through assembly all the way to the tests on the in-house test facility.
